Transforming Waste into Sustainable Products
It starts with garbage.
We take discarded plastic seriously. Our team is always on the lookout for new waste streams that we can turn into high-quality products. From old electronics to food packaging to car parts, we sort, wash, and grind down the waste into pellets that become the building blocks for our sustainable products.
We process waste into high-quality pellets.
We see the end of one product as the beginning of another. Once we have sorted, washed, and ground down discarded plastic waste into pellets, some are immediately usable, while others need a secondary process to ensure their shape and size are compatible with our equipment. In cases where our recycling capacity cannot meet our production needs, we collaborate with other small Canadian businesses that specialize in producing top-notch 100% recycled plastic pellets.
We prepare material for 3D-printing.
To create our sustainable products with no waste by-products, we start by turning our recycled plastic pellets into long spools of plastic feed-stock known as filament. The pellets are melted down in a heated barrel and extruded through a nozzle, where it is rapidly cooled, measured for thickness consistency, and spooled. This filament is then ready to be used in our additive manufacturing process to create high-quality, eco-friendly products.
Products are produced one layer at a time.
Spools of filament are fed into our 3D-printers which melt and extrude the plastic into very thin layers, one on top of another, to slowly form each item. Some items can take days to print! Once finished, our system automatically clears the printer and starts the next job.
The human touch.
Although we use advanced manufacturing technology to do the heavy lifting for us, every product is finished, inspected, and tested by hand to ensure you’re getting only the best quality.
